A Life Transformed by Access.
A Mission Dedicated to Creating It.
Sara Murdock is an award-winning pharmacist, speaker, healthcare advocate and community leader recognised nationally and internationally for her contribution to healthcare, leadership and community impact.
At 13 years of age, Sara fled Iraq with her family as war engulfed her homeland. Their journey to safety included displacement, uncertainty and resilience before eventually finding refuge in Australia. That experience shaped the way she sees the world and ignited a lifelong commitment to helping others access opportunity, support and care.
"My life changed because someone opened a door for me. Today, I dedicate my life to opening doors for others through healthcare, leadership, education and advocacy."
For more than two decades, Sara has worked at the intersection of healthcare, community and leadership. Her work has focused on improving healthcare access, advancing innovative pharmacy services, strengthening health literacy and empowering the next generation of healthcare professionals.
As the Lead Pharmacist, Sara has helped transform the role of community pharmacy through expanded healthcare services, preventative health programs and patient-centred care initiatives. Her work has included vaccination programs, sleep health services, weight management support, health education initiatives and community outreach programs designed to make healthcare more accessible and more human.
Beyond the pharmacy walls, Sara is a passionate advocate for community impact. As Chair of Community Services for the Rotary, she leads and supports projects that bring together healthcare, education, leadership and social connection. She believes meaningful change happens when communities, organisations and individuals work together towards a shared purpose.
Sara is also the Founder of FEMRx, a movement dedicated to championing, developing and elevating women in pharmacy through leadership, mentorship and opportunity. Through speaking, mentoring and advocacy, she continues to empower emerging leaders to step forward with confidence and purpose.
Her contributions have been recognised through numerous awards and honours, including:
• Silver Stevie® Award Winner, Woman of the Year – Healthcare
• International Pharmacist of the Year
• PSA Victorian Pharmacist of the Year
• Patients Australia Outstanding Community Pharmacist
• National and international media recognition across healthcare and community leadership
Today, Sara is a sought-after speaker who shares powerful insights on leadership, resilience, healthcare access, influence, community impact and the future of healthcare. Her presentations combine professional expertise, lived experience and authentic storytelling to challenge perspectives, inspire action and create meaningful change.
Above all, Sara believes healthcare is about more than medicine.
It is about people.
It is about dignity.
It is about connection.
And it is about ensuring every person feels seen, heard and supported.
Her vision is simple: A future where healthcare is more accessible, more connected and more human.
