A Life Transformed by Access.
A Mission Dedicated to Creating It.

Sara Murdock believes healthcare has the power to transform lives—but only when people can truly access it.

Her life's work is dedicated to creating that access through leadership, education, advocacy and human connection.

As a globally recognised pharmacist, speaker, healthcare advocate and community leader, Sara is challenging the way healthcare is delivered, experienced and understood. Through her work, she is building a future where healthcare extends beyond treating illness to creating healthier communities, stronger leaders and greater opportunity for all.

A story shaped by access

At the age of 13, Sara arrived in Australia as a refugee after fleeing Iraq with her family during the war.

Experiencing displacement, uncertainty and the kindness of those who opened doors for her fundamentally shaped the way she sees healthcare and leadership today.

It taught her a lesson that has guided every chapter of her life:

"My life changed because someone opened a door for me. Today, I dedicate my life to opening doors for others through healthcare, leadership, education and advocacy."

That belief became the foundation of everything she has built.

The Soul of Healthcare™

For more than two decades, Sara has worked to reimagine what healthcare can look like when it is designed around people, not just systems.

Her work has expanded access to care through preventative health programs, vaccination initiatives, sleep health services, chronic disease support, weight management, community outreach and innovative pharmacy services that meet people where they are.

These experiences led her to develop The Soul of Healthcare™—a philosophy built on the belief that healthcare should never lose its humanity.

Because behind every consultation, diagnosis and prescription is a person with a story.

Healthcare becomes more powerful when people feel seen, heard and supported.

Building leaders who create change

Sara believes leadership is not defined by titles or positions.

It is measured by the number of lives we influence and the opportunities we create for others.

Recognising that stronger healthcare begins with stronger leaders, she founded FEMRx, a national leadership platform dedicated to championing, developing and elevating women in pharmacy.

Through speaking, mentoring and leadership development, she continues to empower healthcare professionals to lead with courage, compassion and purpose.

Because leadership isn't about standing above others.

It's about lifting others with you.

Beyond the pharmacy walls

Sara's commitment to community extends far beyond her professional role.

As Chair of Community Services for the Rotary Club of Pascoe Vale, she leads initiatives that bring together healthcare, education, literacy and social connection to strengthen communities and improve lives.

She believes the greatest impact happens when healthcare professionals, community organisations, governments and businesses work together around a shared purpose.

Because healthier communities are built through collaboration, not competition.

Recognition

Sara's work has been recognised nationally and internationally through honours including:

  • Silver Stevie® Award Winner – Woman of the Year, Healthcare

  • International Pharmacist of the Year

  • PSA Victorian Pharmacist of the Year

  • Patients Australia Outstanding Community Pharmacist

While these recognitions are deeply appreciated, Sara believes the greatest measure of success is the lives improved, the leaders developed and the communities strengthened through her work.

Speaking with purpose

Today, Sara speaks to audiences across Australia and internationally, challenging organisations to rethink healthcare, leadership and community impact.

Her presentations combine lived experience, professional expertise and authentic storytelling to inspire audiences to build stronger leaders, healthier communities and a future where healthcare becomes more human.

Whether addressing healthcare professionals, students, government, businesses or community organisations, her message remains the same:

Healthcare is at its best when humanity comes first.

The future Sara is building

Sara's vision extends beyond pharmacy.

It is a future where healthcare is accessible before it is needed, where leaders create opportunities for others, and where every community has the knowledge, support and connection to thrive.

Through The Soul of Healthcare™, she is bringing together healthcare professionals, organisations and communities around one simple belief: Healthcare changes lives. Humanity changes healthcare.

Creating access. Building leaders.
Shaping a future where healthcare becomes human.
